In some ways, I could see how it may be easier to be a teacher of a networked student. Basically, you could just tell them what to find and learn about, and they could. You would be there for support when they get stuck or need guidance. On the other hand, if you're not that experienced with the Internet, etc., it may be harder for you to help them out along the way.
